Country Living: Blogger-Designed Cabin (September 2015)

The folks at Shelter + Roost have done it again. The family-owned vacation rental company that brought us this dream cottage and this idyllic farmhouse has added a sixth property to its lineup. Located in the sleepy little town of Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, 30 miles southwest of Nashville, this charming cabin features interiors designed by Kim Leggett of City Farmhouse.

Take a sneak peek at the two-bedroom, one-bath house below, and get the rest of the tour here.

This Old Home: A Carefree 1920s Cottage

Just this week we received shoutouts in This Old House magazine: they published a house tour in their magazine of a 1920s cottage, and "a designer with an eye for a find [that] gives her humble house a clean and pretty look."

That featured designer and homeowner is Lizzie McGraw, a friend of ours who was headed back to California from a design job in New York City when she stopped at our downtown Franklin store! She bought an antique light fixture, an old Turkey Trot sign--that I really can't believe we parted with--and a vintage chest of drawers. She was such a sweetheart to make sure that we were mentioned in the article (thanks so much Lizzie)!

Nashville Lifestyles: A Day in Franklin, TN (July/August 2015)

The key to scoring good finds is to sweep the perimeter. Walk a few blocks up toward City Farmhouse, where owners Kim and David Leggett show off a collection of urban-chic antiques, from farm tables and well-worn benches to silver sets and garden decor.

Good Housekeeping: Cute Tennessee Cottage (April 2015)

We’re swooning over this home’s storybook style. Pin it now, and plan your vacay later.

Seriously, the appropriately named “Storybook Cottage” is like our favorite Pinterest board come to life. The decor, grounded in whitewashed palettes, weathered wooden furniture, and flea-market style accents, is a cozy (but not cluttered) cross between Scandinavian and rustic sensibilities.

Southern Living: Five Things You Need To Know (October 2014)

Antiques aficionados, rejoice—this festival is made for you. Also in its second year, the City Farmhouse Pop-Up Show is moving the massive shopping event to Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. The festival, October 17-18, has more than 150 vendors showcasing vintage, antique, and artisan goods. All activities are held around the gardens of the late music publisher Buddy Killen’s mansion. He is credited for helping develop the Nashville music scene, and throughout his career he worked with the likes of Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Bill Anderson, George Jones, and Jerry Lee Lewis.
