Setting The Holiday Table: City Farmhouse Style

If you have a handyman in the family, a tree stump makes for a great seasonal touch to build a table centerpiece around! Or, you can find these for sale in our store.

To make our family's Christmas table especially festive, I always look for vintage finds that can be repurposed into unique placemats.

This year, David and I found these cool vintage schoolroom chalkboards while picking at the local flea market. Don't you think they make unique placemats?! Plus, they double as place cards too. You can even add messages for your guests. Your friends & family will be so impressed by the personal touch!

See our take on this year's holiday table below:

We sprinkled a bit of fake snow around the wood slice, and scattered mini ornaments across the table to add Christmas details. If you have a handyman in the family, a tree slice makes for a great seasonal touch to build a centerpiece around! Or…

Gugu made that pear look good, didn't she?! Presenting seasonal fruit on the table is a quick & easy way to make the event more festive.

We used turkish towels as a table runner & for our napkins to add texture to the mix. Our friend Jason Counts (of DIRT) handmade the cloth candy cane from vintage ticking. It tied the setting + silverware together in a cool way!

We hope you'll be inspired to recreate your own rendition, and share it with us. Cheers!
