Can you imagine how lost we would be without its direction? It was given to me as a gift this weekend by a very sweet lady that touched my heart in a special way ... my new friend, Georgette, @rustyrootsantiques .. I love her story and her faith. Her smile is infectious. You all would love her too. . The old Bible published in 1911 was given to Hazel Pearl Johnston, July 5th, 1914 and was delivered to her at her father, Billy Johnston’s hotel in Richfield, Utah. (As written in the cover). I discovered a document about her father online that reads, “Billy Johnston is an unmistakable indication of geniality and approachableness and appreciation of friendship and the social amenities of life. The family is of warm-hearted hospitality”. A family rooted in friendship. A Bible that made its way to my new friend in Costa Mesa to my hands. “Rooted in friendship” then and now. . In this season of Thanksgiving, I am so grateful to have met Georgette, and all the wonderful, warm, genuine kindred spirits this weekend @flyingmizdaisy. The shopping is so much fun, y’all, but it’s these friendships, old & new that’s the real treasure. . I couldn’t let this day go by without thanking God 🙏🏻 for my gift of my new friend, Marcia @marcialantow.
