Omgosh!! I just now realized today is the day i married my best friend and the man of my dreams! . We were on a journey even way back then (23 years ago). At that time we owned a 32,000 sq. ft. antique mall and we decided to sneak away to the Smoky Mountains for a weekend wedding. We drove the winding back roads until we found a sweet little white country church in the mountains. Next door was the preachers house so we knocked on the door and asked him would he marry us that afternoon. He said he couldn’t because he had just returned (literally 10 minutes ago) from the hospital with kidney stones. (David said that should have been a sign - haha) . He told us to come back the next day and he would do it. I explained we already had plans to go on a hike. He said “wear your hiking clothes” so we did! I threw on a black lace vest to dress it up a bit. But, David wore his classic white tee shirt! Imagine that! 23 years later he’s still wearing them.
